On August 21, 2019, the "Seminar on Efficiency Construction and Government Performance Management" organized by our Center was successfully held in the West Building of Beijing Guoyi Hotel.The meeting was moderated by Professor Yang Kaifeng, director of the Center and dean of the School of Public Administration of Renmin University of China. Zhang Guoxing, director of performance Office of The General Office of Beijing Municipal Government, Professor Gao Xiaoping, former Executive Vice President of The Chinese Society of Administration, Professor Liu Xutao, former Executive Vice President of the Chinese Society of Administration, Professor Chen Guoquan, former Executive Vice president of the Chinese Society of Administration, and other academic and practical experts and scholars participated in the forum.

Centering on the theme of the meeting, the participating experts mainly discussed the development status, problems and trends of efficiency construction and Practice of government performance management in China, and exchanged suggestions and views on the relationship between efficiency construction and government performance management. The meeting raised many specific issues that need to be discussed in depth in performance construction and government performance management, including how to integrate resources among supervision, performance management and performance management, how to realize performance management without burden, the relationship between central and local governments, and the influence of characteristics of all levels on performance management. Experts and scholars at the meeting expressed their expectation to continue exchanges on the above issues in the future to further promote the long-term development of China's performance construction and performance management.
